Might not seem like a big deal, but for me it is absolutely monumental. The first day I downloaded the app was, I kid you not, the first day in a few months where I consumed not a single drop of alcohol, and I was successful in abstaining from alcohol use for the next three days after that. But it’s been hard to manage my cravings when they arrive and I’ve always just given in.

Right now I’m looking to just cut back significantly on my drinking down to what’s considered safe by national guidelines, and I’m not someone who’s ever experienced physical symptoms of withdrawal (not yet anyway). I know the app has improved over the last year or so ( according to a friend who uses it, anyway) and I just started 2 weeks ago. I’m talking at least a bottle of wine (often more) and maybe even a few ounces of liquor every single night, just to avoid the sheer insanity I’ve felt like I’ve been spiraling into because of what’s been happening in my life. I have become a very heavy drinker over the last couple years, working in the restaurant biz during covid, and especially the last couple months after my job closed down and losing my relationship. I know I’m late to the game in the thread, but in case you’re still considering reframe, I highly recommend it.
